Weekly Classes

Basil and Tiffany offer weekly classes at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 285 Twolick Drive in Indiana, PA. We are both very experienced teachers and offer a wide variety of classes to serve your needs.  The first class is free so you can try it out and see if it works for you.  A class is $9.50 and you can by passes in 5,10, or 15 increments.  It is $12 for a drop in.  You can pay online or in person in class. Monday

10:30- 12 Noon  Yoga for Health- Tiffany, FUUCI location

This class is for people with limited mobility and who want a relaxing meditative experience. We practice many warm-ups and modifications so everyone can feel a sense of accomplishment.   In this, therapeutic Yoga class we explore the power of relaxation and gentle yoga to heal the body and mind. Various breathing and meditation techniques are also performed to give the practitioner a sense of well-being.  The only requirement for this class is to be able to get up and down from the floor.

 

5:30-7pm Vigorous Yoga- Tiffany, FUUCI location

This is an athletic class which still focuses on the meditative aspects of Yoga.  Various breathing and meditation techniques will be introduced and practiced. We will warm up the body with abdominal work and arm and leg strengthening so we can have a posture filled practice to release layers of stress in the body and have the mind deeply relax for Shivasana to experience the deeper levels of our being.

Tuesday

10:30-12 noon Yoga Basics for All Levels, FUUCI Location

This class is led in a very traditional style, emphasizing all aspects of a well-rounded Yoga class.  Centering, guided breathing, full body warm-ups, physical postures as well as meditation, and relaxation are practiced in every session.  Appropriate for all ages and experience levels.  Basil will guide you in your practice using traditional Sanskrit and English posture names in a friendly, non-competitive environment.

Wednesday

5:30- 7:00pm  Moderate Yoga- Tiffany, Yoga Tree,

This class is for the beginner or the experienced Yogi who would like to go deep into the postures,meditation,and breathing at a moderate level. All basic asana are practices with a few challenging poses mixed in to encourage us to go a little further each time. Postures are practiced in a slow mindful way to be able to soak in the full benefit of the practice leaving the student with a peaceful sense of well-being.

Thursday
